We, the members of the Black Graduate Scholar Association at the University of California, Merced, established to further the development of the Black, African, African-American and Afro-Latinx graduate student body, do ordain and establish this constitution and bylaws and subscribe to the regulations and policies of the University.
Mission Purpose:
The purpose of this organization shall be to further the development of the Black, African, African-American and Afro-Latinx graduate student body at the University of California, Merced, to 1) enhance the intellectual and social community for Black, African, African-American and Afro-Latinx Graduate and Professional students, 2) advocate for support networks for Black, African, African-American and Afro-Latinx Graduate and Professional students, 3) promote the recruitment and retention of Black, African, African-American and Afro-Latinx Graduate and professional students, 4) support research opportunities to further the professional development of Black, African, African-American and Afro-Latinx Graduate and Professional students.
